Koimoi gave 3.5 stars out of 5 and said, "Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh & Gang Gift Us Punlimited Fun This Diwali.Trade analyst and critic Taran Adarsh gave the film one and half stars out of five and called it as "disappointing". Criticising writing, direction and over the top performances, he noted that it is the weakest film in Housefull franchise, which failed to make audience laugh.Komal Nahta of Film Information said, "Housefull 4 is not a very entertaining fare and has ordinary merits. On the one hand is the festival period which will work in its favour and on the other hand is the word of mouth which will work against its interests." Sreeparna Sengupta of The Times of India, giving two and half stars out of five, noted that due to general silliness, there were mindless comic moments and scenes of low-brow humour in the film. She opined that it was a drag in portions and jokes were stale. She concluded, "Overall, Housefull 4 ends up as a complete mad caper. Which, if you're a fan of the Housefull brand of comedy, might appeal to you. But if you are not, then proceed with caution.

Box Office India gave 4 stars out of 5 calling it "A laudable effort".[55]
Neeshita Nyayapati writing for The Times of India gave the 3.5 stars out of 5 stating that "the story-telling has its flaws, but the characters are intriguing. What’s impressive is the massive canvas the film is mounted on. Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy might work only in bits and pieces, but the scenes in which the film works makes it all worthwhile!".[56]
Rahul Devulapalli writing for The Week gave the 3.5 stars out of 5 stating, "The movie’s biggest strengths are its visuals, especially the war scenes. Roping in of international stunt directors has enhanced the overall experience. Producer and son of Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, has pulled out all stops in marketing the film and it did not go waste. In the end, though the product is worth appreciating, it cannot be called a biopic of Narasimha Reddy as a lot of events in the movie are historically questionable. If you can silence the fact-checker in you, watch the movie for Chiranjeevi and the action sequences".
Hemanth Kumar writing for Firstpost gave the 3.5 stars out of 5 stating, "At a runtime of nearly 170 minutes, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy tells a fascinating story about a rebellion that’s never been explored in Telugu cinema. Despite the familiarity of the genre, the film relies quite a lot on Chiranjeevi’s screen presence. And he packs a punch and how".[58]
Sangeetha Devi Dundoo of The Hindu praised the cinematography, costumes, Chiranjeevi's performance and adding that the makers skilfully use cinematic liberties to play to the mainstream, crowd-pleasing format.[59]
Joel Kurian writing for Republic TV gave the 3.5 stars out of 5 stating, "Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is inconsistent, but should easily make it to every list of the best films based on Indian freedom fighters, thanks to its technical brilliance, an amazing climax and Chiranjeevi".[60]
DNA India gave the 3.5 stars out of 5 stating, "Sye Raa has enough strength to start a rebellion even today. It is a tale of how the warrior changed the future with his life and even in death".[61]
Haricharan Pudipeddi writing for PinkVilla gave the 3.5 stars out of 5 stating, "Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy definitely needed a visionary filmmaker like SS Rajamouli to make it work even more wholesomely. But, Surender Reddy still manages to impress and delivers a product that’s masses-friendly. Ram Charan deserves a lot of praise for believing in this story and in his father and mounting this project on a scale that’s only next to Baahubali, and there’s no second thoughts about it".[62]
Shruti Rhode writing for Times Now News gave the 3 stars out of 5 stating, "The background score, crisp script and effective screenplay of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy make for an intense, entertaining film that you definitely ought to watch. And don't be surprised if you find yourself amidst whistles, cheers, and hoots every once in a while".[63]
Janani K writing for India Today gave the 3 stars out of 5 stating, "Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, directed by Surender Reddy, takes the safe route in showcasing the fight to freedom. Chiranjeevi’s excellent performance makes up for an underwhelming screenplay".[64]
Apoorva Gupta writing for India TV gave the 3 stars out of 5 stating, "Though the movie boasts of a great cast and a good story-line, it fails to make the desired impact on the audience. The screen time is too long, with movie running for over 2 hours and 50 minutes. The story-telling feels rushed in the beginning and too-streched in the second half. With great sets, action scenes and talented actors, Sye Raa Narasimha can make for a good one time watch!".[65]
The Hans India gave the 3 stars out of 5 stating, "Mounted on an epic scale the movie has some breathtaking visuals, elaborate sets, life-like battle scenes, and colorful costumes. There is a lot more in the movie than just the war for freedom. There are so many wonderful scenes in the movie which will make the audience applaud. The movie is all about why Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy went against British rule and how he had formed a group and rampaged the British etc. There are some outstanding scenes in the film which will give goosebumps to the audience. Especially the one where the British hang Narasimha Reddy will make the audience emotional. Also, the court scene is definitely amazing and the climax is handled really well. Overall, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is an epic story that cannot be forgotten".[66]
Harshada Rege writing for The Times of India gave the film three stars out of five, praising performance of Chiranjeevi and Kichcha Sudeep, Rege noted that film was jingoistic in parts. Criticising the screenplay and direction he opined that film was lengthy. Concluding, he wrote, "While the storytelling has its flaws, what needs to be lauded is that the makers pulled out this tale from the pages of history and mounted it on such a massive canvas for us to see."[67]
Krishna Sripada writing for The News Minute gave the 2.5 stars out of 5 stating, "Surender Reddy’s could-have-been magnum opus is not boring. Yet, for the budget it had, the storytelling and narrative threads leave a lot to be desired".[68]
Manoj Kumar R writing for The Indian Express gave the 2.5 stars out of 5 stating, "The major flaw in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is Surender's attempt to force a sprawling story into a mould that fits the narrow definition of mainstream commercial cinema".

Phillips conceived Joker in 2016 and wrote the script with Silver throughout 2017. The two were inspired by 1970s character studies and the films of Martin Scorsese, who was initially attached to the project as a producer. The graphic novel Batman: The Killing Joke (1988) was the basis for the premise, but Phillips and Silver otherwise did not look to specific comics for inspiration. Phoenix became attached in February 2018 and was cast that July, while the majority of the cast signed on by August. Principal photography took place in New York City, Jersey City, and Newark, from September to December 2018. Joker was the first live-action Batman film to receive an R-rating from the Motion Picture Association of America, due to its violent and disturbing content.
Joker premiered at the 76th Venice International Film Festival on August 31, 2019—where it won the Golden Lion, the festival's highest prize—and was released in the United States on October 4, 2019. The film polarized critics; while Phoenix's performance was praised, the dark tone, portrayal of mental illness, and handling of violence were met with divided responses.[5] Joker also generated concerns of inspiring real-world violence, with the movie theater where the 2012 Aurora, Colorado mass shooting occurred during a screening of The Dark Knight Rises refusing to show the film. Despite this, the film has grossed $248 million worldwide and set box office records for an October release.
Plot
In 1981, party clown Arthur Fleck lives with his mother, Penny, in Gotham City. Gotham is rife with crime and unemployment, leaving segments of the population disenfranchised and impoverished. Arthur suffers from a neurological disorder that causes him to laugh at inappropriate times and depends on a social services worker for medication. After a gang attacks him in an alley, Arthur's co-worker, Randall, loans him a gun. Arthur invites his neighbor, single mother Sophie, to his stand-up comedy show, and they begin dating.
While entertaining at a children's hospital, Arthur's gun falls out of his pocket. Arthur is fired and Randall lies that Arthur bought the gun himself. On the subway, still in his clown makeup, Arthur is beaten by three drunken Wayne Enterprises businessmen; he shoots two in self-defense and executes the third. The murders are condemned by billionaire mayoral candidate Thomas Wayne, who labels those envious of more successful people as "clowns". Demonstrations against Gotham's rich begin, with protesters donning clown masks in Arthur's image. Funding cuts shutter the social service program, leaving Arthur without medication.
Arthur's comedy show goes poorly; he laughs uncontrollably and has difficulty delivering his jokes. Talk show host Murray Franklin mocks Arthur by showing clips from the routine on his show. Arthur intercepts a letter written by Penny to Thomas, alleging that he is Thomas's illegitimate son, and berates his mother for hiding the truth. At Wayne Manor, Arthur talks to Thomas' young son, Bruce, but flees after a scuffle with butler Alfred Pennyworth. Following a visit from two Gotham City Police Department detectives investigating Arthur's involvement in the train murders, Penny suffers a stroke and is hospitalized.
At a public event, Arthur confronts Thomas, who tells him that Penny is delusional. In denial, Arthur visits Arkham State Hospital and steals Penny's case file; the file says Penny adopted Arthur as a baby and allowed her abusive boyfriend to harm them both. Penny alleged that Thomas used his influence to fabricate the adoption and commit her to the asylum to hide their affair. Distraught, Arthur goes to the hospital and kills Penny. He enters Sophie's apartment unannounced. Frightened, Sophie tells him to leave; their previous encounters were Arthur's delusions.
Arthur is invited to appear on Murray's show due to the unexpected popularity of his routine clips. As he prepares, he is visited by his former co-workers Gary and Randall. Arthur murders Randall but leaves Gary unharmed for treating Arthur well in the past. En route to the studio, Arthur is pursued by the two detectives onto a train filled with clown protesters. One accidentally shoots a protester and incites a riot while Arthur escapes in the chaos.
Before the show goes live, Arthur requests that Murray introduce him as Joker, a reference to Murray's previous mockery. Arthur walks out to a warm reception, but begins telling morbid jokes, admits that he killed the men on the train, and rants about how society abandons the disfranchised and how Murray mocked him. Arthur kills Murray and is arrested as riots break out across Gotham; one rioter corners the Wayne family in an alley and murders Thomas and his wife Martha, sparing Bruce.[a] Rioters in an ambulance crash into the police car carrying Arthur and free him. He dances to the cheers of the crowd and notices that he is bleeding from his mouth, which he uses to paint a smile on his face.
In an asylum, Arthur laughs to himself and tells his psychiatrist she would not understand the joke. Exiting the room, Arthur leaves a trail of bloodied footprints, before reaching the end of the hall and being chased by orderlies.
Cast
Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck / Joker:
A mentally ill, impoverished stand-up comedian disregarded by society,[7] whose history of abuse causes him to become a nihilistic criminal.[8] Phoenix had been interested in a low-budget "character study" of a comic book character, and said the film "feels unique, it is its own world in some ways, and maybe ... It might as well be the thing that scares you the most."[9] Phoenix lost 52 pounds (24 kg) in preparation,[10][11] and based his laugh on "videos of people suffering from pathological laughter."[12] He also sought to portray a character that audiences could not identify with and did not look to previous Joker actors for inspiration; instead, he read a book about political assassinations so he could understand killers and motivations.[8] Director Todd Phillips said that he intentionally left it ambiguous as to whether Arthur becomes the actual Joker as seen in traditional Batman stories or inspires a separate character.[13]Robert De Niro as Murray Franklin:[14]
A talk show host who plays a role in Arthur's downfall.[15] De Niro said his role in Joker pays homage to his character from The King of Comedy (1983), Rupert Pupkin, who is a comedian obsessed with a talk-show host.[14]Zazie Beetz as Sophie Dumond:[16]
A cynical single mother and Arthur's purported love interest.[16][17] Beetz, a "huge fan" of Phoenix, said that it was "an honor" to co-star with him,[18] and that she learned a lot working with him on set.[19]Frances Conroy as Penny Fleck: Arthur's mentally and physically ill mother,[20] who formerly worked for Thomas Wayne.[21] Hannah Gross portrays a young Penny.[22]
Additionally, Brett Cullen plays Thomas Wayne, a billionaire philanthropist running for mayor of Gotham.[23] Unlike the source material, he plays a role in the Joker's origins and is less sympathetic than traditional incarnations.[24] Alec Baldwin was initially cast in the role but dropped out due to scheduling conflicts.[25][26] Douglas Hodge plays Alfred Pennyworth, the butler and caretaker of the Wayne family,[27] and Dante Pereira-Olson plays Bruce Wayne, Thomas's son, who becomes the Joker's archenemy Batman as an adult.[28][29]
Additional cast members include Glenn Fleshler as Randall, a clown and Arthur's co-worker;[30] Bill Camp and Shea Whigham as Garrity and Burke, two detectives in the Gotham City Police Department;[31] Marc Maron as Gene Ufland, a producer on Franklin's show;[32][33] Leigh Gill as Gary, Arthur's co-worker;[citation needed] Josh Pais as Hoyt Vaughn, Arthur's agent;[30][34] Brian Tyree Henry as Carl, an administration employee at Arkham State Hospital;[citation needed] and Bryan Callen as a co-worker of Arthur.[35] Justin Theroux cameos as a celebrity guest on Franklin's show.[36]
‌Between 2014 and 2015, Joaquin Phoenix expressed interest in acting in a low-budget "character study" type of film about a comic book villain, like the DC Comics character Joker.[9] Phoenix had previously declined to act in the Marvel Cinematic Universe because he would have been required to play the roles he had been offered, like the Hulk and Doctor Strange, in multiple films.[37] He did not believe his idea for a film should cover the Joker, however, as he thought the character had been depicted in a similar way before, and tried to think of a different one. Phoenix's agent suggested setting up a meeting with Warner Bros., but he declined.[9] Similarly, Todd Phillips had been offered to direct comic-based films a number of times, but declined because he thought they were "loud" and did not interest him. According to Phillips, Joker was created from his idea to create a different, more grounded comic book film.[10] He was attracted to the Joker because he did not think there was a definitive portrayal of the character, which he knew would provide considerable creative freedom.[13]
Phillips pitched the idea for Joker to Warner Bros. after his film War Dogs premiered in August 2016.[10] Prior to War Dogs, Phillips was mostly known for his comedy films, such as Road Trip (2000), Old School (2003), and The Hangover (2009); War Dogs marked a venture into more unsettling territory.[38] During the premiere, Phillips realized "War Dogs wasn't going to set the world on fire and I was thinking, 'What do people really want to see?'"[10] He proposed that DC Films differentiate its slate from the competing Marvel Studios' by producing low-budget, standalone films.[39][40] After the successful release of Wonder Woman (2017), DC Films decided to deemphasize the shared nature of its DC-based film franchise, the DC Extended Universe (DCEU).[41] In August 2017, Warner Bros. and DC Films revealed plans for the film, with Phillips directing and co-writing with Scott Silver, and Martin Scorsese set to co-produce with Phillips.[42] The announcement of the film was met with mixed reactions. Jared Leto, who portrays the Joker in the DCEU, was reportedly displeased with the existence of different contemporary Joker characters.[43]
Warner Bros. pushed for Phillips to cast Leonardo DiCaprio as the Joker,[38] hoping to use his frequent collaborator Scorsese's involvement to attract him.[43] However, Phillips said that Phoenix was the only actor he considered,[44] and that he and Silver wrote the script with Phoenix in mind, "The goal was never to introduce Joaquin Phoenix into the comic book movie universe. The goal was to introduce comic book movies into the Joaquin Phoenix universe."[45] Phoenix said when he learned of the film, he became excited because it was the kind he was looking to make, describing it as unique and stating it did not feel like a typical "studio movie."[9] It took him some time to commit to the role, as it intimidated him and he said "oftentimes, in these movies, we have these simplified, reductive archetypes, and that allows for the audience to be distant from the character, just like we would do in real life, where it's easy to label somebody as evil, and therefore say, 'Well, I'm not that.'"[45]
Writing
It was a yearlong process from when we finished the script just to get the new people on board with this vision, because I pitched it to an entirely different team than made it. There were emails about: 'You realize we sell Joker pajamas at Target.' There were a zillion hurdles, and you just sort of had to navigate those one at a time.... At the time, I would curse them in my head every day. But then I have to put it in perspective and go, 'They're pretty bold that they did this.'
– Todd Phillips[10]
Phillips and Silver wrote Joker throughout 2017, and the writing process took about a year.[46] According to producer Emma Tillinger Koskoff, it took some time to get approval for the script from Warner Bros., partly because of concerns over the content. Similarly, Phillips commented that there were "a zillion hurdles" during the year-long writing process due to the visibility of the character.[10] Phillips said that while the script's themes may reflect modern society, the film was not intended to be political.[46] While Joker had appeared in several films before, Phillips thought it was possible to produce a new story featuring the character. "It's just another interpretation, like people do interpretations of Macbeth," he told The New York Times.[44]
The script draws inspiration from Scorsese films such as Taxi Driver (1976), Raging Bull (1980), and The King of Comedy (1983),[42][38] as well as Phillips' Hangover Trilogy.[47] Other films Phillips has cited as inspiration include character studies released in the 1970s—such as Serpico (1973) and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975)—the silent film The Man Who Laughs (1928), and several musicals. Phillips said that aside from the tone, he did not consider Joker that different from his previous work, such as his Hangover films.[46] While the film's premise was inspired by Alan Moore and Brian Bolland's graphic novel Batman: The Killing Joke (1988), which depicts the Joker as a failed stand-up comedian,[10] Phillips said it does not "follow anything from the comic books... That's what was interesting to me. We're not even doing Joker, but the story of becoming Joker."[48] Phillips later clarified that he meant they did not look to a specific comic for inspiration, but rather "picked and chose what we liked" from the character's history.[49]
Phillips and Silver found the most common Joker origin story, in which the character is disfigured after falling into a vat of acid, too unrealistic.[10] Instead, they used certain elements of the Joker lore to produce an original story,[50] which Phillips wanted to feel as authentic as possible.[10] Because the Joker does not have a definitive origin story in the comics, Phillips and Silver were given considerable creative freedom and "pushed each other every day to come up with something totally insane."[46] However, they did try to retain the ambiguous "multiple choice" nature of the Joker's past by positioning the character as an unreliable narrator—with entire storylines simply being his delusions[13]—and left what mental illnesses he suffers from unclear.[38] As such, Phillips said the entire film is open to interpretation.[13]
Pre-production
Following the disappointing critical and financial performance of Justice League (2017), in January 2018 Walter Hamada replaced Jon Berg as the head of DC-based film production at Warner Bros.[51] Hamada sorted through the various DC films in development, canceling some while advancing work on others; the Joker film was set to begin filming in late 2018 with a small budget.[2] By June, Robert De Niro was under consideration for a supporting role in the film.[52] The deal with Phoenix was finalized in July 2018,[53] after four months of Phillips working on persuading him.[10] Immediately afterwards,[53] Warner Bros. officially green-lit the film,[54] titled it Joker, and gave it an October 4, 2019, release date.[55] Warner Bros. described the film as "an exploration of a man disregarded by society [that] is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale."[56]
Scorsese's longtime associate Koskoff joined to produce,[57][58] although Scorsese left his producing duties due to other obligations.[57] Scorsese considered serving as an executive producer, but was preoccupied with his film The Irishman.[10] It was also confirmed that the film would have no effect on Leto's Joker[59] and would be the first in a new series of DC films unrelated to the DCEU.[2] In July, Zazie Beetz was cast in a supporting role,[17] and De Niro entered negotiations in August.[15][60] Frances McDormand declined an offer to portray the mother of the Joker, and Frances Conroy was cast.[61][20] At the end of July, Marc Maron, who had recently finished filming the third season of the web television series GLOW,[33] and Bryan Callen joined the cast.[32][62] Alec Baldwin was cast as Thomas Wayne on August 27, but dropped out two days later due to scheduling conflicts.[25]

Filming
A New York City Subway C train with a rollsign for the fictional 0 train left over from filming for Joker
Principal photography commenced in September 2018 in New York City,[b] under the working title Romeo.[65] Shortly after filming began, De Niro, Brett Cullen, Shea Whigham, Glenn Fleshler, Bill Camp, Josh Pais, and Douglas Hodge were announced to have officially joined the film, with Cullen replacing Baldwin.[66][30] Bradley Cooper joined the film as a producer,[67] and the director of photography was Lawrence Sher, both of whom Phillips had previously collaborated with.[30] On September 22, a scene depicting a violent protest filmed in Brooklyn, although the station was modified to look like Bedford Park Boulevard station.[68] In late September 2018, filming of robbery scenes took place at the First Central Savings Bank in Astoria, Queens.[69]
According to Beetz, Phillips rewrote the entire script during production; because Phoenix lost so much weight for the film, there would not be an opportunity for reshoots. She recalled, "we would go into Todd's trailer and write the scene for the night and then do it. During hair and makeup we'd memorize those lines and then do them and then we'd reshoot that three weeks later."[70] Phillips recalled Phoenix sometimes walked off-set during filming because he lost self-control and needed to compose himself—to the confusion of other actors, who felt they had done something wrong. De Niro was one of the few Phoenix never walked out on, and De Niro said he was "very intense in what he was doing, as it should be, as he should be."[71]
Filming in Jersey City started on September 30 and shut down Newark Avenue, while filming in November, starting on November 9, shut down Kennedy Boulevard. Filming in Newark began on October 13 and lasted until October 16.[65] Shortly before the Newark filming, SAG-AFTRA received a complaint that extras were locked in subway cars for more than three hours during filming in Brooklyn, a break violation. However, the issue was quickly resolved after a representative visited the set.[72] That month, Dante Pereira-Olson joined the cast as a young Bruce Wayne.[27] Whigham said towards the end of October the film was in "the middle" of production, adding that it was an "intense" and "incredible" experience.[31] By mid-November, filming had moved back to New York.[73] Filming wrapped on December 3, 2018,[74] with Phillips posting a picture on his Instagram feed later

PlotEdit
Eleven years after the events in Burma, John Rambo inherits his late father's horse ranch in Bowie, Arizona, which he manages with his old friend, Maria Beltran, and her granddaughter, Gabrielle.
Gabrielle reveals to Rambo that a friend of hers, Jezel, has found her biological father, Miguel, in Mexico. Against Rambo and Maria's wishes, Gabrielle secretly drives to Mexico to ask why Miguel had abandoned Gabrielle and her mother. Jezel leads Gabrielle to Miguel's apartment, where he reveals to her that he never cared for Gabrielle or her mother.
Heartbroken, Gabrielle goes to a local club where she is drugged and kidnapped by enforcers of a Mexican cartel. Meanwhile, Maria informs Rambo of Gabrielle's secret trip to Mexico and sudden disappearance. Reluctantly, Rambo travels to Mexico and interrogates both Miguel and Jezel about Gabrielle's whereabouts. Jezel reluctantly leads Rambo to the club where Gabrielle was last seen and confronts El Flako, the man who last spoke with Gabrielle.
A mysterious woman, Carmen, tails Rambo as El Flako leads him to Gabrielle's location. Rambo is immediately confronted and beaten by the cartel, led by Hugo and Victor Martinez, who then take his driver's license, revealing the ranch's location, and a photo of Gabrielle, whom Victor recognizes. The cartel vow to mistreat Gabrielle further due to Rambo's actions.
Carmen takes Rambo back to her home where she cares for him until he heals. Carmen reveals herself to be an independent journalist and has been investigating the Martinez brothers, who had kidnapped and murdered her sister. Rambo later raids one of the brothels, killing several men until he finds a drugged Gabrielle. On the way back home, Rambo thanks Gabrielle for giving him hope for ten years before she dies from the forced overdose.
Enraged, Rambo sends Maria away and rigs the ranch with traps for a confrontation, later returning to Mexico to ask Carmen's help in finding Victor. Carmen refuses initially, believing it will solve nothing but is convinced after Rambo appeals to her grief and frustrations.
Rambo raids Victor's home, killing several guards and decapitating Victor. In retaliation, Hugo leads a group of hitmen to Rambo's ranch, where each falls victim to the rigged traps. Saving Hugo for last, Rambo mutilates and pulls his heart out. In the aftermath, a weakened Rambo sits on the porch of his father's house, vowing to continue fighting and to keep the memories of his loved ones alive. During the credits, the injured Rambo gets up, saddles up his horse and rides off into the sunset.

In February 2008, Sylvester Stallone revealed that making a fifth film would depend on the success of the fourth film, stating he was "gearing one up" and that it would "be quite different".In March 2008, Stallone revealed he was "half-way through" writing Rambo V, stating that it would not be another war movie, with Bulgaria being considered to double as Rambo's home in Arizona. In February 2009, Stallone revealed that he was proceeding with the fifth film but stated, "the conflict is whether to do it in America or a foreign country".
In August 2009, Millennium Films green-lit the film with Stallone writing, directing and starring. At that time, the plot focused on Rambo battling human traffickers and drug lords to rescue a young girl abducted near the U.S.–Mexico border. In September 2009, Stallone revealed that the film would be titled Rambo V: The Savage Hunt. The film would have been loosely based on Hunter by James Byron Huggins and would have focused on Rambo leading an elite special forces kill team to hunt and kill a genetically engineered creature.Nu Image/Millennium Films released a poster and synopsis for The Savage Hunt.In November 2009, it was reported that the plot had reverted to Rambo crossing the Mexican border to rescue a girl who had been kidnapped.
In May 2010, Stallone revealed he was "done" with the character, stating, "I think Rambo’s pretty well done. I don’t think there’ll be any more. I’m about 99% sure, I was going to do it... but I feel that with Rocky Balboa, that character came complete circle. He went home. But for Rambo to go on another adventure might be, I think, misinterpreted as a mercenary gesture and not necessary. I don’t want that to happen."At the 2010 Cannes Film Festival, Millennium Films and Nu Image advertised Rambo V with posters and handouts.Following an interview with Stallone for Ain't It Cool News, in which the director expressed his desire to end the franchise, Harry Knowles reported that, "He then told me that the folks behind those posters essentially said that if Sly didn't do it - someone else would. And Sly seems fine with that."
In 2011, Sean Hood was hired to write a new script titled Rambo: Last Stand that Hood described as "more in line with the small-town thriller of First Blood. In 2012, Hood revealed that Rambo V had been put on hold in order for Stallone to finish The Expendables 2. Hood also revealed his uncertainty whether the film would be similar to Unforgiven or a passing-of-the-torch In August 2013, it was announced that Entertainment One and Nu Image would develop and produce a Rambo TV series with Stallone. In June 2014, German film company Splendid Films confirmed that Stallone had started writing the script for Rambo V, with Stallone describing it as his version of No Country for Old Men.In September 2014, it was revealed that the film would be titled Rambo: Last Blood, with Stallone directing.
In 2015, Stallone and Rambo creator David Morrell re-developed the story for Rambo V. Stallone wanted a "soulful journey" for the character that Morrell described as a "really emotional, powerful story". Stallone pitched the idea to the producers, but they wanted to proceed with the human trafficking story instead, abandoning Stallone and Morrell's idea.[24] In October 2015, Stallone pondered on the possibility of a prequel, stating, "It's intriguing to find the whys and wherefores of how people have become what they are. The traumas, the loss and the tragedy of being in Vietnam would certainly be a great challenge for a young actor, and it would be ironic that Rambo directs younger Rambo having played it for twenty years plus".In 2016, Sylvester Stallone revealed that Rambo V was no longer in production.

ReceptionEdit
Box officeEdit
In the United States and Canada, Rambo: Last Blood was released alongside Ad Astra and Downton Abbey, and is projected to gross $23–25 million from 3,500 theaters in its opening weekend. The film made $1.3 million from Thursday night previews.
Critical response
The review-aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes assigned the film an approval rating of 34%, with an average rating of 4.46/10, based on reviews from 50 critics. The website's critical consensus reads: "Like the sequels that preceded it, Rambo: Last Blood is content to indulge in bloody violence at the expense of its ain character's once-poignant story."Metacritic said the film received "generally unfavorable reviews," with an overall weighted average of 33 out of 100 based on 17 critics. Audiences polled by PostTrak gave the film an average 3.5 out of 5 stars and a 55% "definite recommend."
The portrayal of the Rambo character was put under scrutiny. Kenneth Turan of the Los Angeles Times was complimentary of the story's "surprisingly brooding examination" of the character: "Sure, Rambo is convincing when he ends up telling bad people, 'I'm gonna hurt you real bad,' but there is also a kind of fragility that makes us worry about people putting the hurt on him."Rating the film 4.5 out of 10 with IGN, Witney Seibold lamented how the film transformed the character from a traumatized war veteran to a "tragedy-free, unstoppable all-American badass killing machine and pop culture's central symbol for unchallenged American military might."Katie Walsh of the Chicago Tribune gave the film 1 star out of 4 and wrote, "Rambo lumbers to the finish line in the flaccid fifth installment, which is a Frankenstein's monster of badly photocopied references to the previous movies, limply strung together with the laziest of screenplays."
The script by Stallone and Matt Cirulnick also attained mostly unfavorable reactions. Frank Scheck of The Hollywood Reporter said it "feels utterly tossed-off and generic, more resembling the pilot for a Rambo television series than a proper sendoff," but credited Stallone with "keep[ing] a franchise afloat". Eric Kohn of IndieWire, who gave the film a grade of D+, said Stallone as a co-writer "does a decent job at generating empathy for Rambo through furtive gestures, but Last Blood goes overboard to prove that he's tried to be a better man."In a negative review with Variety, Peter Debruge said the screenwriters "adopt the racist view of Mexicans as murderers, drug dealers and rapists, devoid of cultural context or exceptions".Walsh called the script "barely a script at all" and the writing "lazy"; she added that story writers Stallone and Dan Gordon "trade on charged imagery rather than, you know, actually writing characters that fully express the spectrum of human morality."Rating the film 1.5 out of 5 with Bloody Disgusting, William Bibbiani said the script "has been reduced to its lowest common denominators, establishing characters quickly and then shoving them into a simplistic plot (that is to say, simplistic even by Rambo standards)."Both Kohn and Bibbiani called the plot of Last Blood derivative of Taken.
Many reported being appalled by the brutality of the action scenes, and compared its amount of gore with that of a slasher film.Debruge called it "horrible, gut-wrenching carnage to witness, and yet, it's been calibrated to elicit whoops and cheers from fans, who've faithfully followed along as Rambo evolved."Vince Mancini of Uproxx, despite giving the film a lukewarm review, wrote that "[i]t's so genuinely horrific I'm convinced there are real-life cartel videos celebrating the torture of rivals that are less gory. I was either howling with nervous laughter or covering my face the entire time."Don Kaye in Den of Geek! said he "didn't find [the violence] disturbing per se, but rather jarring in the way it takes on an almost comic book tone after the more elegiac effect the movie was striving for earlier." Conversely, Johnny Oleksinski of the New York Post said Last Blood "features what's easily the most violent movie scene of the year. It's awesome" and gave it 2 stars out of 4.Critics saw the climax of Last Blood as similar to that of Home Alone.
The depiction of a crime infested Mexico, and the stereotypical representation of most Hispanics and Latinos as criminals, prompted critics to accuse the film of racism and xenophobia, as well as pandering to supporters of the Trump presidency. Peter Bradshaw of The Guardian, who gave it 1 star out of 5, called Last Blood a "massively enlarged prostate of a film [that] can only make you wince with its badly acted geronto-ultraviolence, its Trumpian fantasies of Mexican rapists and hilariously insecure US border, and its crass enthusiasm for rape-revenge attacks".Seibold said, "I understand that Rambo films have rarely been bastions of cultural togetherness, but in 2019, these broad stereotypes are offensive and dated and downright irresponsible." Kohn said, "In 2019's hypersensitive cultural environment, the depiction of murderous Mexican crime bosses and their cowering sex slaves encountering a literal white savior doesn't go down so easy."

Plot
Aniruddh a.k.a Anni (Sushant Singh Rajput) plays a water fight with his friend and the whole hostel of H4. Anni decides to wet Raggie (Prateik Babbar), his enemy from the H3 hostel and successfully wets him shamelessly. Raggie threatens them, but Anni backfires him easily. Then it cuts to the present world, where Anni is old and is with his son. Anni solves all the problems of his son, Raghav (Mohammad Samad). Raghav wants to meet his mother, so Anni takes him to his mother. Raghav also asks Anni to come and see his mother but he doesn't want to. He tells his son to go and take care of himself. Raghav goes and enjoys his time with his mother. Raghav talks about his results which are going to come after his engineering exams. His mother consoles him by telling him not to worry about his results. Raghav says his father is hoping that he does well and his mother mocks her husband Anni saying he has put too much pressure on Raghav.
After Raghav's results, he becomes worried and cries after being felt like a loser. His parents are also worried about him. Due to the failure, Raghav commits suicide by jumping off his friend’s balcony and this burden falls upon his parents. In the hospital, the doctor says that he has brain swelling and this could damage his brain and other parts. Anni goes into the room and tells him that he is a fool for taking such a step. He also tells him that he was also a failure in his hostel days. The doctor comes in and tells him that the swelling is increasing slowly, and that they have to get a surgery done for their son to remove the swelling. Then Anni realises of his old friends in the hostel, his hostel life. He decides to tell his son about the story of his friends. His wife thinks that this is the stupidest way to bring Raghav back. But he heeds no demand for his wife and he starts the story.
The story starts with the first loser, Sexa (Varun Sharma), who was known as a playboy and was a hard on back days. He used to rag students, auctioned for porn books and always won, and other weird stuff. The first time Anni came to the hostel, he was told that he has to live in hostel H4. The person doing names then tells Anni that you can change the hostel if you want because that's the place where losers go. Terrified, Anni decides to switch hostels, but to no vain, he couldn't go back. The second loser was Acid, who used to say a lot of bad words during small moments. Before that he was a good student, with good passing grades. But after reaching Engineering college, his life took a turn. He used to get failed in every subject and his professors used to tell him that he was up to no good and that he will not get good marks. This enraged him more and more at an extent that whenever he sees his professors, he gets angry and starts using abusive bad words. Therefore he was called acid. The third loser was Mummy, a Momma's boy, who used to not know about any things about real life. He used to get his things done from his mom only. His father went to the hostel and asked Acid and Sexa to rag his son and make him a better man. After making him a better man, Mummy's father thanks his friends to make him a better man. The Fourth loser was Derek who was king of an athlete, who was best in everything but couldn't do anything because of his teammates. He used to bring best in everybody, but he always used to get failed against H3 in General Championships a.k.a GC. They've always got last in GC every year. This time Anni brings the whole group together....oh wait. I almost forgot Loser no. 5, Bevda. He used to drink every day. He had a place for his statch of alcoholic drinks. He used to train their group in drinking. Remembering train, there was an incident where Bevda was involved. He was coming from his summer holidays through a train and he was drinking vodka. He had mixed vodka in water bottle and was enjoying the journey. Then a married couple asked water from him for their son. He refused to give water to him. He couldn't tell them that it was vodka. The couple gave him abusive bad words. This was the incident. The sixth loser was Anni himself. He had joined the group of losers and participated in GC. Anni had a crush on this girl, Maya. He used to meet her and talked to her.
Then the GC started. H4 and H3 were preparing for this year to get rid of the 'loser tag'. They tried various techniques, to give up their dreams, to train hard and participate in events. But they didn't pass. But Anni had an idea. He used tactics and his intelligence to beat every round. Mummy was good in carrom, Bevda was a master in chess, Derek was good in running, Anni was good in basketball and cricket and every participants were good in different sports and Anni used some of his tactics to train his friends to win the GC. In this way, they reached finals. Everyone won in their sports, except Anni. In the last match, Anni tries to throw the ball into the hoop, but it bounces back from the hoop and they lose the match. H3 hostel won the match. But they cheered H4 hostel for their hardwork and praised them for their team spirit. The whole crowd cheered for them. In the present, Anni's son Raghav cries and asked them whether they wished to die after the moment they lost. They replied no. Anni gave advice to him that losing doesn't matter. You have to try harder in order to achieve success. Winning or losing, you have to embrace it in order to be a good man. After this Raghav is taken to the operation theatre for his surgery.
Raghav is well. Admission in college and is going to hostel. He meets another person who mocks him funnily. He laughs and recollects his memories of his parents and their friends and they are happy forever.
